On Friday November 3rd, the American chain Popeyes will open its first restaurant in the Czech Republic, bringing its unique New Orleans cuisine to the local fast food market. The operator of the chain, Rex Concepts, has chosen West Flexi Offices as its base for further expansion.
Popeyes will welcome its first Czech customers in Prague on Wenceslas Square. According to Marek Blažević, who is in charge of the brand in the Czech Republic and Poland, chicken lovers can look forward to a two-story, 700 sq. m. restaurant in the distinctive style of the American South. This year, the chain is expected to add a three-story establishment in the center of Brno and a branch on a highway just outside of Prague.
The American fast-food brand, which operates nearly 4,000 restaurants worldwide, wants to appeal to customers across generations. In the Czech Republic, the company has ambitious plans to open a total of 60 branches within ten years. “I expect, without exaggeration, that our flagship restaurant on Wenceslas Square will be the busiest Popeyes restaurant in the world,” says Marko Blaževič, revealing the chain’s bold plans.
“We were delighted to welcome Rex Concepts into our family of tenants earlier this year and are pleased to offer the company the right services to meet its specific needs as part of its planned growth,” says Kateřina Burešová, flexible workspace consultant at Offices Unlimited. “In line with global trends, more and more multinational corporations in our country are using flexible forms of office space rental, which allow them to respond more dynamically to the various company requirements,” adds Burešová.
“We chose West Flexi Offices because of its very good transport accessibility, wide range of services and flexible lease terms, and, given our planned growth, the possibility of gradual expansion was a priority for us, also due to the cost. As for the premises we appreciated the high daily standard of the facilities, modern environment, and friendly staff,” stated Managing Director of Rex Concepts Jiří Petrovič.
In addition to Popeyes, the parent company—Rex Concepts—is also the owner of the master license of the Burger King chain for the Czech Republic, Poland, and Romania. It plans to open 600 restaurants in the afore-mentioned countries in the next 10 years.
