Alena Malachová and Tomáš Košulič lead successful practices in different legal spheres. They recently opened their joint boutique law firm which encapsulates their approach to clients—bespoke LAWYERS. Two terms are woven into their DNA: trust and tradition. For a firm based on the values of the Czechoslovak First Republic, they chose a suitable office in a 1930s villa in Prague’s Bubeneč quarter, where Offices Unlimited just opened a new branch.
While Tomáš Košulič has so far mainly focused on the corporate environment with a specialization in real estate, his partner Alena Malachová provides a wide range of legal services, from family law, through employment law, to commercial legal issues. Despite their different backgrounds, they have one thing in common—what attracted them both to law was its creative potential. “We don’t want to build legal services from A to Z and template solutions with dozens of lawyers,” says Tomáš Košulič, defining the profile of bespoke LAWYERS. “Our aim is to return to the traditional concept of a first-class law firm that becomes a confidant of our clients on their life journey and offers tailored services no matter the situation.”
According to Alena Malachová, there is still a lack of legal literacy in the Czech Republic as well as a lack of awareness of the real benefits that proper long-term legal relationships can bring to each and every one of us. “Many clients contact us to help them solve problems that may not have arisen if the relationships in their private and personal lives had been well covered by law,” states Malachová. “It’s surprising how many shareholders aren’t sufficiently aware of the legal implications of the joint signature rights of the managing directors when setting up an LLC, for example,” she adds. “These seemingly small details, whether it’s a relationship within a business corporation or a well-crafted prenuptial agreement, can make a significant difference in our clients’ lives. While we all understand the importance of preventive healthcare and go to the doctor for regular checkups, we underestimate prevention when it comes to the law.”
This doesn’t mean that bespoke LAWYERS focuses uniquely on family law. “In the corporate sphere, trust, long-term relationships, and in-depth knowledge of this environment is equally the basis of our work. We’re able to offer our clients tailor-made expert services. In short, we’re a boutique bespoke firm,” states Košulič. Their new office is in the elegant villa in Prague’s Bubeneč neighborhood that is the latest addition in the Offices Unlimited network. “Fortunately, it’s no longer necessary for a law firm to be based in Prague 1. Our clients appreciate the atmosphere of a residential area where they can park without difficulty and we enjoy the surrounding greenery and the luxury of the villa’s private garden,” both partners agree. “A welcome benefit is the professional services provided by the Offices Unlimited team, which is always ready to cater to our specific needs,” they both conclude.
