Gappex is a technology start-up that helps its clients turn complicated things into easy ones. The owner of the company, DALIBOR NĚMEC, used this same thought process to select the right office for his team. SmartFP is a web-based platform developed by Gappex. It replaces and merges different applications into a single, clear system. “At its core are modules that we put together to address the specific needs of our clients. With over a dozen ready-made modules, we can simplify a company’s operations in many ways,” says Dalibor Němec as he described the product that he launched a few years ago.

Many IT companies struggle with this. We developed a platform that each user can adjust as they wish. And it’ll remain 100% functional at all times,” continues Němec. SmartFP also uses several local television stations. “They can easily create their own specific modules in the system, such as an actor registration database.”

The high number of companies that haven’t been touched by digitization constantly surprises him. “Even in multinational corporations, we see quite often that many company processes are done the old-fashioned way, i.e. on paper,” admits Němec. Digitizing functions saves not only trees, but also hours of valuable time. “With artificial intelligence, some tasks can even be reduced down to seconds,” argues Němec. As an example, he cites a manufacturing plant whose production is tied to thousands of standards. “When an employee needs to look up a specific directive, AI can find it digitally almost immediately.”

Six years ago, Němec started the company out of a single office room with only one colleague. In myhive Flexi Offices, they have moved into elegant spaces without having to invest in expensive equipment that start-ups generally don’t have the budget for. “It certainly helped us when we had meetings with large corporations. They wanted to see with their own eyes that we weren’t based in some garage,” he says, reminiscing about his start in business. 

Since then, Gappex has been growing dynamically every year by 20–50% and plans to expand into Central European markets this year. Its team now numbers more than twenty people. “It suits us that Offices Unlimited approaches our needs in a flexible way. We can therefore expand the space we use depending on our situation,” says Němec.
