FACES OF OU: Jakub Stehno

Bringing the Xiaomi brand to the Czech market, working on a PPC campaign for UNICEF, and for a client in Cameroon—these are the highlights of Jakub Stehno’s impressive career, which began with football and ended in marketing. His agency, Brightbox, has been around for 15 years and continues to grow at a steady pace. For this reason, he opted for his team to work in myhive Flexi Offices, in premises that offer an ideal workspace for his continuously changing marketing business.

 

“When I founded my first agency many years ago with my former football teammate, we learned everything on the go,” reminisces Jakub Stehno. Today, Brightbox, his current marketing agency, offers clients comprehensive services from the early stages of idea making, through creative work, to production, and finally also buying media and even digital communication. “We specialize in medium sized firms and are happy to see that we can help clients grow by hundreds of percent per year,” says Stehno.

 

“Compared to our competition, we stand out for the range of our services that we can handle in-house,” he continues. Besides their own printer, the company is proud of its original web platform. Brightbox developed it for its own purposes, which allows it to create a website for clients for a fixed fee of CZK 10,000 regardless of its scale. “We’re much more user-friendly than the freely accessible modules by global brands and we can act more flexibly when it comes to the needs of Czech clients,” states Stehno.

 

Having a solid pro-client approach is of major importance to the owner of Brightbox. “Our clients know that they can always find us in the office, and so we can immediately respond to their requests,” explains Jakub Stehno. This is one of the reasons why a home office policy isn’t the best fit for Brightbox. “We do our utmost to keep our employees happy and create a workplace that they enjoy coming to every weekday,” he says.

 

The agency continues to expand every year along with its clients. Its current core team consists of 20 members. “In the first quarter of this year, we’ve already hired new colleagues we’re sure to hire more throughout the year.” This is precisely why Stehno prefers the flexible office concept. “Marketing is a dynamic industry that is constantly changing, and so our offices need to reflect that,” concludes Brightbox’s boss.
